Set in Damon Runyon's mythical New York City, this oddball romantic comedy presents the story of Sarah Brown, the upright but uptight Salvation Army "mission doll", who is committed to reforming the evildoers of Times Square, especially Sky Masterson, the slick, high-rolling gambler who woos her on a bet and ends up falling in love. Adelaide is the chronically-ill nightclub performer whose condition is brought on by the fact that she's been engaged for 14 years to Nathan Detroit, who is more concerned with finding a spot for his infamous floating crap game. The movie starred Marlon Brando and Frank Sinatra. This musical features the songs "Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat," "Sue Me" and the famous "Luck Be a Lady." Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical.
Performances February 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 29, March 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 2008. (Snow date matinee added: March 16.)
